You’re Comfortable Using the Present and Future Tenses: Intermediate French Level 4 course focuses on the past tenses. You keep practicing the present and future grammar from earlier levels.
You’ve Learned French Before but Need a Refresher: Ideal if you want to refresh your skills with the key past tenses, passé composé and imparfait.

Level 4 is month 4 of the French Transformation program, our 6-level path from zero to B1. You learn to tell stories: narrating past events and sharing personal experiences.
You can take Level 4 on its own, or keep going. Two more months take you to Level 6 and a solid B1. If you’re preparing for the TEF or TCF, our 12-month program adds 6 months of exam prep after that: 9 months from here to CLB 7. And you can join at any level.

I completed Levels 4-6 in person and have just finished 1 month of TEF/TCF Prep. My experience has been extremely positive and I would fully recommend Learn French in Vancouver. Our teacher, Maï, uses her empathy and energy to create an environment where I have felt comfortable to make mistakes and push myself. This has helped me improve my French a great deal. Maï's lessons have been fun, engaging, and she is able to adapt the level of challenge for each class member.
I'm a learner of online courses from level 1 to level 6. The entire program is professionally designed, both challenging and rewarding. Under the guidance of my charismatic teacher, Anne, it's truly possible to go from not being able to pronounce anything at the beginning to communicating confidently within six months. I was indeed a complete beginner with zero background knowledge.
I’ve had a really great experience with Learn French in Vancouver! I am enrolled in the online courses and from my experience after level 4 of the course I think the program is super well structured, which makes it easy to follow and build your skills step by step. A big shoutout to Professor Delphine Dumas, she’s amazing! She’s very patient, explains things clearly, and always makes sure we actually understand. She makes learning French feel much easier and enjoyable. Definitely recommend!
I was enrolled in the French levels 4-6 course with Maïwen over the last few months. All the students were very kind and all the material were explained clearly. Due to the small class size, every student has abundant opportunity to participate and practice the newly learned concepts, often in relationship to real life scenarios. Overall, I really enjoyed my time here and improved tremendously.
Needless to say if you are doing TEF prep for the purpose of immigration you know how stressful the process can be, but I’m so lucky that Maï is my instructor. Coming into the TEF prep class I have been learning French on and off for 4 years in the past but has since not kept it up, and I enrolled in TEF prep ready to be told that I should in fact go to one of the level classes because I’m not B1, but even in the first two classes where I struggled a lot and voiced my fears to Maï, she has expressed only confidence in me and encouraged me to keep going. I’ve been kicking my ass learning French with her guidance and feedback and I’ve progressed so much in just the past 1.5 months in her class. And I truly feel like I can participate and make mistakes without fear because Maï will always correct me with kindness. I now feel like a good result in TEF is within my reach and I’m excited to update this review once I get a result
