Please note that if you would like to take your private classes at WeWork @Burrard station (instead of L’Atelier), there is an extra fee of $30 per hour to cover the cost of the room rental.
Weekend Classes: If you request French classes to be during weekends, you will need to check our teacher’s availability and an extra charge of $10 per hour will apply.

What's the difference between private lessons and group classes?

Private lessons are 100% customized to your goals — your teacher plans every session around what you need. Group classes follow a structured curriculum (Levels 1–6) at a fixed pace. Private is best for specific goals, deadlines, or flexibility. Group is best for structured learning and social motivation. Many students do both.

Can I use private lessons to prepare for TEF/TCF?

Absolutely — it’s one of our most popular uses for private lessons. Your teacher focuses on the specific sections where you need the most improvement (typically speaking and writing). This is especially effective for retake students who know exactly which areas to target.

How do I schedule my lessons?

After booking, you tell us your preferred days and times (Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM PST). We match you with a teacher and confirm within 24 hours. You can adjust your schedule between sessions if needed.

Can I learn with a friend or partner?

Yes — we offer 2–4 student and 5+ student group rates. Each person pays a reduced per-student rate. All students should be at a similar level for the best experience.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule a session?

We understand schedules change. Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule. Late cancellations or no-shows may count as a used session. Contact us if you have questions about our policy.
