Our Growth Director Aurélie Halimi joined Mireille Langlois on the Culture et Confiture show to talk about what makes Learn French Canada different — and why we just won the Palme Bleue — Entreprise en Croissance from the Chambre de Commerce Francophone de Vancouver. 🏆
In the interview, Aurélie shared our approach: a structured, proven method that takes students from complete beginner to CLB 7 in 12 months. But more than the method, it’s the people — 16 native French teachers who build real connections with every student, every class.

Winners of the Palme Bleue 2026!
May 2026
A night to remember. Learn French Canada was awarded the Palme Bleue — Entreprise en Croissance (Growing Business) at the Gala de la Palme Bleue, organized by the Chambre de Commerce Francophone de Vancouver.
Out of all francophone businesses in Greater Vancouver, the CCF recognized our school for its outstanding growth — from a single classroom in 2017 to 4,000+ students across 10+ cities in Canada, with 14 native French teachers and 300+ five-star reviews.
Léa, Aurélie and Tasnia represented the team at the Vancouver Rowing Club in Stanley Park for the CCF’s 40th anniversary gala. This award belongs to every student, every teacher, and everyone who believed in the mission.

French Evening at L'Atelier Vancouver

What a night! Our students gathered at L’Atelier Vancouver in Gastown for an evening of French conversation, laughter, and real connection. From first-time speakers to confident conversationalists, everyone jumped in — practicing with their teachers, meeting classmates from other levels, and discovering that French sounds even better over good company 😄
The best part? Watching students leave with new friendships, bigger smiles, and one question on everyone’s lips: “When’s the next one?”

This February trip was a double celebration:

We gathered at Café Fantastico with our TEF students, coffee and croissants in hand, speaking French, practicing, and building confidence together ahead of their TEF exam at Alliance Française the following week.
Alesandra and Natalya are preparing to gain those crucial extra points for residency. It’s their last chance, and we’re fully in with them. 💛
This trip was more than an event, we celebrated 2025’s success and set our 2026 vision with our incredible Operations Team: Lily, Tasnia and Lea.

La Galette des Rois: Celebrating French Tradition with our Teachers👑

Our team recently came together for a special event with our French teachers to celebrate one of France’s most loved traditions: La Galette des Rois. This moment was all about sharing culture, connection, and a little bit of sweetness — the French way.
What is La Galette des Rois?
Every January in France 🇫🇷, families, friends, and colleagues gather to eat a galette des rois, a traditional puff pastry filled with almond cream. Hidden inside the cake is a small charm called la fève. The person who finds it becomes the king or queen of the day and wears a paper crown 👑
It’s a simple, joyful tradition that brings people together .
Events like this are a reminder that teaching French is not only about grammar and conjugaison — it’s also about culture, traditions, and human connection.
Behind every student’s progress is a passionate team of teachers who love sharing not only the language, but the heart of French culture 💙 And of course… long live the queen of the day! 👑✨
🎄 Fairmont Vancouver High Tea | Celebrating 1,000 Students with Our Amazing Teachers
December 2025
Our team recently came together for a special internal event at the Fairmont to celebrate what truly drives our success: our people. We celebrated with our team of French teachers over a refined afternoon tea, surrounded by elegant décor, beautiful teapots, and an irresistible selection of mini cakes and pastries.
This moment of connection came at a meaningful time. In 2025, almost 1,000 students trusted our process, many starting from zero in French — and today, the majority have achieved their goals, successfully passing the TEF and TCF exams with CLB 5 and CLB 7+, opening new opportunities across Canada 🇨🇦.
The afternoon was filled with laughter, warm conversations, and shared pride in what we’ve built together. We also surprised Lily, our Business Director, with a birthday celebration, complete with a heartfelt Happy Birthday sung by the whole team 🎉
A beautiful reminder that behind every student success story is a dedicated, passionate team — and that together, we’re just getting started.

French & Fun at Workhaus Calgary!
October 2025
Our second Calgary event was full of laughter, games, and French practice! Hosted by our amazing teacher Clélia, students gathered at Workhaus Downtown for an evening of language discovery, friendly competition, and good vibes.
From an engaging introductory French class to fun group activities and casual conversations, everyone enjoyed learning together in a relaxed and welcoming setting. It was another great step in growing our Calgary French-learning community!

July 2025
We officially opened Learn French in Calgary with a warm and welcoming event at Workhaus Downtown. Students joined us for an afternoon of fun, French practice, and a free introductory class!
Everyone received a mini Eiffel Tower keyring, and we shared what it means to start learning French with us — whether for career goals, immigration, or personal enrichment. It was the perfect way to kick off our Calgary community, both in-person and online.
Picnic & Practice at Second Beach
July 2025
Over 40 students gathered at Second Beach for an outdoor French picnic, where everyone brought snacks, drinks, and great vibes 🌞.
With the ocean in the background and 7 of our amazing teachers present, it was the perfect casual setting to connect, chat in French, and enjoy the summer.
From beginners to advanced students, everyone found someone to bond with and practice together. A beautiful mix of community, language, and sunshine!
An Evening of Fun, Prizes & French Practice

We hosted a lively French Game Night with over 40 students, featuring a prize wheel, fun quizzes, and plenty of laughter.
It was the perfect opportunity to practice French in a relaxed, joyful setting — and to connect with fellow learners while celebrating how far we’ve come together.

To close out an amazing year, we hosted a joyful Christmas event for our students 🎉.
The evening was filled with delicious pastries, engaging activities, and a cozy atmosphere that brought everyone together. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the holidays while practicing French in a fun, relaxed setting.
Celebrating 6 Years of Success
July 2024
Our 6th anniversary was a special evening where over 30 students came together to celebrate our achievements. The night was full of joy, laughter, and looking back on our journey of learning. Students shared their experiences, especially about preparing for the TEF exam.
We enjoyed delicious Paris Brest cakes made by Nawel and toasted with bubbles.
To make the evening even more fun, students of all levels took part in a friendly French quiz, with great prizes for the winners.
French Culture at the Chamber of Commerce
We participated in the 2nd edition of Bonjour Business organized by the Francophone Chamber of Commerce of Vancouver in October 2023.
We invited our students to come visit us and meet with other French organizations .
It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with the community and showcase what we offer.
Networking at La Durée: A Sweet Get Together
After completing “My French Transformation” program, our students gathered at the iconic La Durée in Vancouver. This event was a perfect blend of networking, celebration, and enjoying French patisseries, as our students connected over their shared passion of the French language.
