2017
One Mission

Léa had been teaching French for 5 years when she moved to Vancouver and noticed something: there was no school that made French feel accessible, structured, and actually fun in Vancouver. So she built one. The first students were private — just Léa, a whiteboard, and real conversations. Word spread fast.

2019
The Method That Changed Everything

As more teachers joined and the first group classes launched at L'Atelier in downtown Vancouver, Léa and her team developed something unique: 'My French Transformation' — a 6-level methodology built around real-life situations, supporting students with zero knowledge to reach an intermediate conversational level in 6 months before preparing for the TEF exam. It's the same curriculum 4,000+ students have used since, and it's why students actually stick with it.

2020
When the World Stopped, We Didn't

COVID shut down in-person classes overnight. Instead of closing, the team went fully online in a week — and discovered that students from across Canada could now join. That same year, Canada doubled the CRS bonus for French speakers to 50 points. Demand for TEF/TCF prep exploded, and we became one of the few schools in Canada offering serious, structured TEF/TCF exam preparation.
