Frequently Asked Questions
What do I need to know before starting Level 3?
You should be comfortable with present tense and basic future tense, able to handle daily situations (ordering food, directions, describing your routine), and know basic question forms. If you’ve completed Level 2 in our program, you’re ready. Otherwise, take our free placement test.
What's the difference between Level 3 and the earlier levels?
Levels 1 and 2 focused on the present — greetings, daily life, basic situations. Level 3 opens up the past and future. You’ll start talking about what happened, what you plan to do, your career, and travel. The conversations become more meaningful and personal.
Am I halfway to being TEF/TCF ready?
You’re halfway through the French foundations. After completing Levels 1–6 (about 6 months), you move into dedicated TEF/TCF exam preparation for another 3–6 months. Level 3 is a significant milestone — you’re building the grammar and vocabulary that the exam tests.
Can I join Level 3 without having taken Levels 1 and 2 here?
Yes — if you have equivalent French knowledge from elsewhere. Take our free placement test to confirm Level 3 is the right starting point, or contact us and we’ll help you decide.
Should I commit to the full program or continue month by month?
If your goal is CLB 7 or genuine fluency, committing to the remaining French Transformation levels (3–6) or the full TEF/TCF program saves money and keeps momentum. But month-by-month works too — many students decide after seeing their Level 3 progress.
