Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need any prior French knowledge for Level 1?
No — Level 1 is designed for absolute beginners. We start from zero: the alphabet, basic pronunciation, greetings. You don’t need any previous French experience.
What happens after I finish Level 1?
You can continue to Level 2 (the next month in the French Transformation program), switch to private lessons for more individual attention, or pause and come back when you’re ready. Most students continue straight to Level 2 — the momentum helps.
Can I take the course online or does it have to be in person?
Both options are available. Online classes run via Zoom, with 3 time slots. In-person classes are at our Vancouver location. Both follow the exact same curriculum with the same native French teachers.
How many students are in each class?
To ensure personalized attention and effective learning, we aim to limit our group classes to a maximum of 16 students.
Is Level 1 enough to pass TEF/TCF?
Level 1 alone won’t prepare you for TEF/TCF — it’s the first step of a longer journey. For CLB 7 (the level most immigration candidates need), we recommend the full 12-month program: 6 months of French Transformation (Levels 1–6) followed by 6 months of dedicated TEF/TCF exam preparation.
